I've posted a topic about this before, on how my PCI-E is at 2.0 x8,but suddenly when I play CoD: AW, THIS happens (this started happening since upgrading to windows 10)

Specs:

Intel Core i5-4570

8 GB RAM

GTX 760 Running at PCI-E 2.0 x8

600W PSU

MSI H81M-E33

When the bus interface gets to where it is circled, my FPS drops all the way to the 30s range, something thats NEVER happened before in ANY game. Any help here?

Are you using windows 10 drivers or Nvidia drivers? If you are not using Windows 10 drivers, try setting maximum pre-rendered frames to 1, and are your in-game FPS settings capped at 30?

Using Nvidia drivers, and capping Frame rate to 30 in CoD? Uhhhh, No. the weird thing is, in windows 8.1, my bus interface load fluctuated from 10-40% in AW, but on windows 10 it suddenly rises to 70% on AW when it WANTS to, which is weird

I'm sure that even though your board says it has a PCI-E of x16, even on x8 AW is not enough to saturate those lanes. Sounds like stutter lag to me, have you noticed how often, if not time it.

Seems to happen on specific spots on the game, but the fact that its even putting it on THAT HIGH of a load and the FPS dropping in HALF is telling me that SOMETHING is causing a bottleneck from PCI-E x8, but at the same time, no other game has doen this.

Stress test your GPU, if it happens again then it could be GPU, AW and CoD in general can't saturate x8 lanes. Has to be something else, at this point bad GPU cooling could be a culprit in those fps drops.

I know it isn't the GPU, I've already had to replace it once...... Interestingly this only has happened on windows 10 and not 8.1. Somethings fishy....

So you are telling me that patch 353.62 is not working for you.

I have no idea, all I know is: This just started happening when this never happened before... I just HOPE this isn't because I'm on PCI-E 2.0 x8... Otherwise I'll just get a can of compressed air and clean my PCI-E slot, HOPING that fixes it.

Then stress test the GPU, if so you may need to swap it out, unless you want to go back to a previous windows to avoid, but like I said it probably hardware not software.
