Have you already installed the pump unit to the backplate?

I've also installed a H100i on my Asus maximus V formula and the backplate got tighted once I installed the pump unit!

ok, but was the plate loose with just the standoffs, before you put the pump on?

Yes!

The screws on the pump will tighten the back plate!

Worked! Thanks a heap dude.

did you remove the rubber stoppers on the mobo water cooling barbs? Since I'm not using them, I'm not sure what it best.

Your welcome!

I left them on because of potential dust build up inside the barb but very quickly one of the rubber plugs got removed by shooting it self of the barbs,...

I was playing Far Cry 3 with the window side panel off and the air inside the heat pipe got expanded because of the heat from the vrm. With this build up air pressure inside it shoot the rubber plug far enough away that I can't find it again,..

So if you leave them on, make a small hole in the plug so air can escape form the heat pipe.

You should check your temps, if they look fine.. it should be okay.
I know some people (including me) who had problems with the H100i; CPU was very warm even after several attempts of reseating the CPU cooler.

I don't think the backplate should be loose and many people used rubber washers to make it a snug fit.
