So as I was gaming today I saw my cpu temperature go up to 88 degrees celsius.

So I was wondering what temperatures for my CPU and GPU are considered safe and unsafe. Please give me temperature ranges for this.

I currently only have two fans in my system, the two stock nzxt s340 fans flowing out of the case, creating negative air pressure which sucks air in through the front.

Should it be a top priority to get two fans to mount in the front?

Generally, below 90C is okay, but 88C is getting a bit warm. I'd try what @Arty said and dust out the PC and see if it improves the temps. If not, you may want to invest in a better cooler or improving the airflow in your case.

I have the stock cooler on currently, so do you think installing front fans in my pc will help airflow a lot more?

Also, will it cause any damage to the parts if I don't do it soon?

If you're overclocked maybe back it down a little bit?  Dusting will help immensely, but that's already been mentioned. I like to keep my stuff around 80C max, but that's a personal preference.

EDIT: I'm an idiot, locked processor obviously stated in sig..

Having more fans pulling in air will help with cooling, yes. Especially if you don't have many right now.

It shouldn't damage anything, as the CPU is rated to be able to run at those temps (and over), but I'd want to lower the temps a bit, just to be safe. If you're looking for a good budget cooler, the Hyper 212 EVO from CoolerMaster is a good choice.
