Are these any good?

Go to solution Solved by Interfectorem,

A few months of this and I'll be able to get some HyperX Clouds are something, sound like a plan? As long as it's better than these god awful Turtle Beach X12s.

Sounds like a plan to me!

Or at least, are they better than the Turtle Beach X12 headset?

I have a spare $35 laying on my desk and it's burning a hole. I really need a new headset, my Turtle Beaches are awful, especially since I use them for SEVERAL hours at a time. Would these be any better? I at least like the color scheme and overall look a lot more, plus from the videos I have heard the microphone is not bad. What do you think?

Looks meh at best, but for $30, getting at least a few months of use from them would be worth it.

Save get hyper x clouds, i cheaped out on headphones for awhile, they are great and wont break the bank.

I know I know, but I just want to get rid of these Turtle Beaches and all I have money for are these. I don't need any fancy surround sound or anything, just something more comfortable because these things are killing me.

Not sure dude. I was saying SteelSeries Siberia V2 just as a suggestion because I own a pair and they are really comfy. :)

I'll consider them, for now these will do. I have pretty big ears so these Turtle Beaches jsut press them against my head and it hurts after about two hours.

I know exactly what are you talking about, that sucks been there. I don't have that problem with the Siberias even after hours. IIRC even Logan from TekSyndicate said that he likes the sound of the v2's and he gets to use some highend audio stuff, they are not the best by any means, but they are imo really good for what they are.

My modded Air 540 build

PS, word of advice: In your topic, put some kind of reference to what you're talking about. When it shows up under "Recent Topics" on the right-hand side, it doesn't say what subforum you're posting to, so "these" could be anything. Imagine seeing a heading marked "Which one should I get?" It'd be a bit confusing :)

As much as I frown upon Turtle Beach products, my go to cheap headphones are the Turtle Beach PX21s. I got them for $50 bucks retail, and they lasted me a good 2.5ish years. They aren't THE most comfortable, but The microphone and audio is suberb for its current price point.. I recently got a new pair on eBay for $14.99, and most listings are the $20 and below range. Honestly the best bang for buck "gaming" branded head set. IMO. Just giving you some super affordable options
