Fresh install?

How do I go abouts a fresh install of windows onto my pc? I bought a new win7 key before win10 came out so would that work for win10 (running win 10 atm and i have a boot drive with it) or do I have to install win7 first then upgrade to win10?

Install W7 and then upgrade to W10.

Format your drive within the Windows installer using its own partition manager.

As already stated, it'll create partitions as needed. It will create a System Reserved partition automatically - before attempting to go through this, make sure all other storage drives are unplugged. Windows will sometimes put the System Reserved partition on another drive - thereby tying the drive to the system through software.
