What motherboard do you have?

Can you see if you have a "Slow-mode" switch on your motherboard?

i have the Z97S SLI KRAIT EDITION motherboard

where would i find the slow mode setting if there is one?

Probably either above the 24 pin, or towards the very bottom of the motherboard.

IDK if that board has one, but make sure if it does, that it's not enabled.  Slow mode locks the CPU at 800 mhz, for benchmarking & Ln2 purposes that I won't explain :P

Hmm, that was my only idea :/ sorry friend :(

I'd say try doing a benchmark to see how you score vs people at stock, to see if it's just misreading the speed.

When you say the flash drive isn't recognized...do you mean it can't see the flash drive at all? The BIOS file needs to be put into root for it to be recognized.

It's not listed in the boot menu either?

Root is the beginning of the file system of the partition. Imagine entering a partition when you double click on it and stopping there. That is root.

i just checked. its recognized in the boot menu, and in the bios where it shows whats connected in each port it shows the usb but when i try to flash the bios it says "media not found"

Make sure the BIOS file is put in root as I explained above. It can't be sitting in any folders.

Which file are you using? There's also an executable that can be run after you extract the ZIP folder.
