I upgraded because I needed to spend cash, or lose it forever. Didn't need or want an upgrade, my 965 and 6950 did me well.

That's rough, i still rock a 6950 and love it, even though i plan to upgrade to a 7970 once the next amd line of cards come out.

I ditched my 965/6950 combo for a 3930k/two 570 combo, and replaced the 570's with a 660 (non ti). Sold everything but the 965, which I gave to my current girlfriend. After I can get my own power supply, (Current one belonging to my fathers department at the local collage) I will think about adding a second 660.

I bought a Lenovo T410 when my T61 was seeming like it was going to die, instead of repairing it. The T410 ruined everything that was good about thinkpads.

i regret wasting my life on games when i was young

i want to waste my life on games now

but games became boring .......

I know that feel, I had 200 something steam games, and then I started getting fraudulent charges on my card and had to cancel it. In the process I lost all my steam games. I now own an amazing....18. :D

My regret is buying another call of duty after WaW, totally ruined the fun :(

CoDWaW, which I find fun to say out loud as one word, was/is best CoD.

The keyboard was a lot worse. You had to slam on the keys to get them to actuate.

An unusually large number of the screens were defective, with backlight issues or other unrepairable problems.

The screen was also incredibly low quality in terms of color reproduction.

There was a BIOS bug that caused the onboard mouse to be unusable.

There was no longer a dedicated microphone port and a dedicated headphone port, but a combination port, which I had no devices for.

Mine was overheating when I first got it, making doing anything stressful on it impossible.

There is no power plug indicator on the outside of it, which was a really nice feature on the T61, since you wouldn't just suddenly run out of battery.

The hinges on the T410 also seemed less durable than the ones on the T61. They kept sticking and requiring massive amount of force to close. The T61 did have a problem where one of the hinges could become loose, however.

I don't know what they did to those keyboards, but they are so much harder to type on. The IBM thinkpad ones seemed to be designed well enough that they actually had somewhat of a click, rather than a squish.

oh and I forgot to say, the charger port on the laptop was broken, so that I had to hold it in a very specific position with an elastic band or else it would disconnect.
