Hello, first off sorry if this is the incorrect section to post this in. I couldn't figure out where to post a general build.

Anyways, I am looking to spend 600-700 USD on a few new parts for my computer. I currently have the following pieces of hardware (That I want to keep)

 - GTX 760

 - Corsair 750w PSU

 - Samsung SSD 250gb

 - Western Digital Blue 1TB HDD

 - 8GB of RAM (2 sticks)

 - AMD FX-6300 Vishera 6-Core 3.5GHz

I would need the following:

 - Motherboard (I might be getting a second graphics card soon, so I'll need something good)

 - Case (the one I have currently is load as hell, I don't mind fancy LED lights - preferable something that has good cable managment and keeps the computer noise to minimum.)

 - Cooler (I was thinking about this one: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835103099 )

 - Thermal paste (not too worries about this, lol)

Also, I'd like to note that I would like to upgrade my processor in a near future. Maybe buy an i7 or something. For now the one I have is good enough.

If you have any other questions please ask! Thanks!

Mobo: Asus Z97A or Gigabyte Z97 Gaming 3

CPU: As youre looking to upgrade to i7 in the near future, i5 4460

Case: Fractal Design Define R5 or NZXT S340

Cooler: Unless you will do really high overclocking a 212 Evo should do the job.

I suggest you wait for skylake and get that i7 directly instead of upgrading later.

This. Im not sure if the gaming 3 supports SLI? At least my Gigabyte z97 gaming 5 & 7 support SLI. I would recommend the Define S over the R5 if OP doesn't have a need for an optical drive, I get better airflow on the Define S. Agree with the cooler :)

why an aftermarket cooler for a non overclockable cpu?

Z170 motherboard; asus or asrock would be my top picks: 150-200 USD

i5-6600k $225 USD

DDR4 ram 16GB 100-120USD.

Cooler: Hyper 212 Evo is a solid pick but if your budget allows it get a H100i.

Case: Define R5 is a solid pick however noise is primary caused by fans so have you tried turning down the fan speed in the bios?

Or you could just get your i7 now with a GTX 970 for a whole $36 higher in budget. Well, technically not an i7, but an i7 in everything but name with a Xeon E3-1231v3.

Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 970 4GB SSC ACX 2.0 Video Card  ($329.98 @ NCIX US)
Total: $736.95

You want quiet, use a GTX 970 in a case with great airflow. It has half the power consumption of two 760s in SLI.
