I didn't even know Asus did Strix headsets but I do like the look of them.

Does anyone have any experience with them?

Here's the one I'm looking at:

If you like the control pod of the Asus Strix do consider the Plantronics RIG or Plantronics RIG Surround.

Otherwise the Cloud or Cloud II are good choices, but they don't have the cool control pods and extra features the Platronics and Asus headsets do.

Just get the HyperX Cloud or Cloud 2.

Is there anyway to get a control pod like on the other headsets but with the Hyperx Cloud?

Yes, but you have to buy them separately, usually they act as USB soundcards or come as accessories to a sound card. Examples include the Creative SoundBlaster Omni

& Creative SoundBlaster Zx which are both probably more than you need.

The Plantronics RIG aren't actually USB headsets, they are TRRS headsets that plug into a USB control pod/sound card. Outside of the Asus and Plantronics however I don't know of any other control pod headsets, though there are several with inline or on-ear controls with similar functions.

I'll probably just go for the Hyperx Cloud then and maybe get a decent soundcard later
