I've been researching this but cannot find a solid answer so I thought I'd ask you lads!

 

Will the Corsair 128GB (http://www.scan.co.uk/products/128gb-corsair-force-series-gs-25-ssd-sata-iii-6gb-s-sandforce-2200-mlc-read-560mb-s-write-535mb-s-92) be compatible with the MSI Z87-G45 (http://www.scan.co.uk/products/msi-z87-g45-gaming-intel-z87-s-1150-ddr3-sata-iii-sata-raid-pcie-30-(x16)-d-sub-dvi-d-hdmi-atx)?

 

And overall, is the Z87 G45 actually good?

Yes, it will be compatible.

 

Basically, a SATA III drive will be compatible with any motherboard that has at least one SATA port. A SATA III port is preferable for SATA III SSDs to take full advantage of them.

Thanks guys! The problem I had is that one person said that the Sandforce doesn't work with the G45 MB so I thought I'd ask you guys

It's the connector that matters, not the drive itself

All SATA based SSDs and hard drives are compatible with all SATA revisions and all chipsets that support SATA, unless they exceed a certain capacity(no SSD does currently). At that point, a BIOS update may be required to support higher capacities. (3TB)
