first custom loop developed a leak need help

Go to solution Solved by jzwill7190,

thanks every one for the swift answers. its not a green o ring  i

You sure you didn't cross thread that fitting? Looks a bit crooked to me...

I'd drain into a clean bucket (you can re-use the liquid), and try and re-do that fitting.

yeah thats what i was thinking. i didn't really implement a good drainage system so its kind of a pain to drain. thanks for the advice .

Welcome to the Forums!

Looks fine to be unless that's not a green o-ring, but make sure it's properly torqued down and tightly secured.

I wouldn't have thought head pressure would be that much to cause a slow leak over a month..

In that case then try and torque it so it's only slightly more than hand tight, don't want to crack the plastic or anything so be gentle with it.

i don't think so, i'm not sure what happend. this loop was running for a month with no problems.

The only way of really checking is to take off the fitting and see if the threads and o-ring are in good condition, I would replace the o-ring just incase and see if that fixes it with a leak test.

Looks good to me :) The only thing you really need to make sure of is that the reservoir is above the pump, but you don't need to since it's a res/pump top combo.
