ok i bought a new laptop with hdmi port i installed display driver but it just wont detect and display on my tv please help

never mind i am an idiot i did not insert the cable fully in thats the reason it was not getting detected LOL but now i have another issue it runs but it runs on 1280x720 and it wont let me change it so everything is not fitting properly on my tv
