Ok so as the title states I'm planning on making a custom case, I have a few questions.....

1. Do the motherboard standoffs have to be steel or can they be plastic/aluminium?

2. Should I mod a front panel IO (USB/audio) circuit board, keep it stock, or make my own? ( I have a spare one which is your standard USB3, USB3, Headphone, Microphone, USB2, USB2)

3. What would you guys like to see me make, materials, sketches, ideas are all appreciated.

So far I'm thinking of making an aluminium case with a single sheet acting as the top, bottom and sides of the case with the front section bolted in and the back being completely removable through slider rails releasing the components. The display side (considering an inverted case but might just go for the classic style) will have a rounded cutout which tempered glass will be bolted over.

Will be making a buildlog once I have a nice idea on what I'm doing.

1. Anything you want as long as it's sturdy.

2. Depends on what you want, if you don't want to make one then just buy one that's for another case and pop it in.

3. Aluminium & smoked/tinted glass. (or acrylic)
