need help with optical drive

Go to solution Solved by Knaj,

Optical drives can have many different types, Blue Ray, regular DVD, DVD burners, and Blue Ray burners.

If you plan to do nothing with blue-ray, then just a normal DVD and DVD burner will do just fine :)

This is my current theoretical setup and i need help figuring out the best optical drives for this. I want to be able to install games, basic programs, etc but im not familiar with the different kinds of optical drives. any help I will be most appreciative.

Reading this thread I couldn't help but think that pretty soon knowledge on the different types of optical drives will go the way of how newer generations don't know that pencils and audio tapes were once related.
