Do you have other hard drives for that system? That 120GB SSD is going to fill up fast.

Other than that, looks good to me!

Fine you want the PSU tier list? Have the PSU tier list: https://linustechtips.com/main/topic/1116640-psu-tier-list-40-rev-103/

Editing and virtual PCs take loads of memory

So why does the title and OP indicate only gaming? And why only an i5?

It is hard to make suggestions when only a bit of data is provided. Pointless in fact.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.

Gaming was the main priority for my budget although i am also using it for other intense uses. That said i know that contradicts what i said earlier about gaming being secondary while the specs said gaming was the priority. It is kind of confusing to explain but gaming is priority 1 and the added memory will help for other projects i hope.

  • cpu is good
  • get an h60 by corsair instead
  • motherboard is good
  • 8 gb of ram for gaming only, 16 gb for workstation use
  • where is your hdd?
  • gpu is good
  • psu is fine although there are better ones out there
What is an h60? And i hear you i need an HDD, dont worry i plan on getting one after school starts.

P.S. i will look into a better/cost effective psu thanks for the insight!

the h60 is not much more expensive than the h55 and it has better performance. below is a better psu. changed the motherboard to save a bit of money; the z97-e is still very good. changed the h55 to an h60.

take a look at the fractal Fractal Design Define R4 Blackout with Window or the Fractal Design Arc XL

they are cheaper and very good cases. high quality.

Thanks for all your help man! I decided to get the h60 without lowering the motherboard and keeping the 932 case. Really thank you, you have helped me in all my posts!
