internet speed troubles help please

me and my friend are on the same router and we both have eithernet cables plugged in and hes getting a solid 6mbps and mine is jumping to 79kbps then to zero then jumping back up then back to zero and it continues with very slow downloads please help???^-^

Maybe your friend is using lane 1 and the router is giving it all the power
