Ethernet stopped working!

Ok so i downloaded Windows 10 yesterday. When i do troubleshooting for network its says "subject ethernet is not a valid IP configuration" :( Never had problem on it untill Windows 10. I have reseted router, computer, checked all updates and they are fine. What even wierd is that when i use computer with WLAN now it sometimes connects to Ethernet but if i now restart computer it wont work and i have to use WLAN again. Tested cabel so it works and changed for other but no help. Other thing is that how do i get rid off that windows.old file in C: station. Or do i really need to keep it there?

Also to answer your other question,

The windows.old is all of the files leftover from your previous installation of windows on that computer. (assuming you just upgraded to Win 10 and didn't do a clean install) It has everything from the acutal OS files to your psersonal folders, so move out what you want to keep and then just delete the folder.

How many times people. YOU NEED DRIVERS TO CONNECT TO THE INTERNET! If you have another PC you can download them to a USB or if you still have the CD that came with the MOBO put that in and it has all the drivers

How many times people. YOU NEED DRIVERS TO CONNECT TO THE INTERNET! If you have another PC you can download them to a USB or if you still have the CD that came with the MOBO put that in and it has all the drivers 

No, you dont need drivers for an ethernet connection, as that is usually handled by Windows default ethernet drivers.

If it is any higher class MOBO that has intel or killer or another brand you need their drivers

That's only for the bells and whistles of motherboards that cost several hundred bucks.

Also, they do work, but some features like two cable ethernet need drivers to work.

However, in my experience 99% of the time, there is absolutely no need for ethernet drivers, as they can often be a hassle to install, and can interfere with the OS drivers by not being compatible with the OS.
