PSU cable question?

Are the cables on a modular corsair PSU able to be modified? My PSU came with multiple extra cables and I was wondering if I could shorten and kinda clean up some. Like I don't need 4 sata plugs on a single cable and id like to cut the ones I'm not using off. I just don't know if I do that would it wreck/short out the cable? I wanna trim down one of the sata power cables, a molex cable, then cut one of the extra 2 pin connectors on the 6 pin that can be an 8 pin cable.

You can but be sure not to short anything and to properly remove and re-crimp sata cables, molex however is not possible unless you have a crimper and crimps to shorten. For the extra 6+2pin on the PCI-E you can but as said cut them very close to the terminal or insulate.

I know the axi has some, you might have a cable with just 1 sata on there, not sure if i do hmmm. I wouldn't cut them, you could do it right and not hurt anything but its better just to try to hide them. Also maybe cable extenders, they should come in several colors but can be pricy. If you're going to do it get a heat gun crimps for the wires.use a multimeter to test for continuity.
