I recently swapped cases on my computer and I tested it in the room I was working on it in and it turned on. I then brought it to a different room, put on the side panels, tried to boot it, and it didn't turn on (Not even the fans or case LEDs.). I have tested the 24-pin and it is sending power, so I don't think its the power supply. I also have unplugged and plugged in my 8-pin and 24-pin power connectors numerous times. Does anyone have any other ideas of what could be the problem?

Does the wall socket have any known power issues?

How did you test your 24 pin?

Can you test the PSU on a different PC?

(just to rule it out completely)

And if you can't, can you try jumping the power supply to make sure it at least turns on?

if the power supply works, what would happen?

on most of them the fan should spin up.

But its a nowhere near conclusive test, just something easy to do while your at it.

I just removed the motherboard, and found I had been missing a standoff. I reinstalled it with a standoff, so it may be my motherboard. I jumped the power supply so I know that that works. I think it may be my power switch, because the fans don't even turn on. Can I turn on the computer a different way to test if its the power switch? (My mobo doesn't have a switch on it.)

Yes. Unplug the power button switch and take a flathead screwdriver. Take the screwdriver and find the power switch header and touch the pins together. This will cause the two pins to short together making the motherboard tell the PSU to turn on.

I tested the power switch with a voltage meter, and it was sending electricity. I also jumped the 24-pin with the psu connected to the fan controller and the fans turned on. I think it is the motherboard or the motherboard's 24-pin connector. Are there any other possibilities?

I guess you'll need to RMA this board if it's new enough to do so.
