Ah paintball, best time I ever had cracking a collar bone. Tippmann stuff is decently solid and somewhat inexpensive. A good place to start looking I'd say. I would go to some paint ball places and ask some veteran players what they prefer too.

Do you want to have to spend forever getting rid of dry paint if not choose fast speed cqb airsoft thats what i do  B)

Who goes paint balling with shit they care getting paint out of? :P

Does anyone know anything about paintball . Been looking at markers and trying to decide which one to get any recommendations ?

What style did you want to play?

There is woodsball and speedball. Woodsball is playing on fields setup like towns, forests or other themes. Speedball is on a field using air bunkers. Speedball is the more popular side of paintball as a sport but woodsball is more popular as a pass time.

The difference is important as speedball you will need certain/better gear to be competitive but for woodsball you can get the equivalent of a rental marker for about $200 and rock face with it.

Looking more into woodsball looks fun compared to the came ending in 30 seconds

Was looking at the tippmann x7 phenom as someone recommended it to me has a nice look and heard tippman is reliable can get a used one for about 220

The X7 is a GREAT first marker. Tippmann's as mentioned above are really reliable and the X7 gives you a nice selection of modding. Start with a tank on the marker but look at a good mask IE 100$ + and do not get used.

Used markers are fine because they can be fixed and repaired to be in working condition. But a mask you never know the stress test its gone through. Did the old user leave it in the sun alot? Did they let it rot in sweat after most games.

If you want a good entry level mask look at eithe the GI Proflex or Gi Grillz. I use the Grillz and my friends use the Proflex. The other masks are stll good Dye I4, Virtue Vio and HK but they have a smaller profile so make sure you try on the mask. Even if you go to a store and try one on and then look online for the colour or style you want thats great too.

Finally dont worry about getting clothes yet. Get a good mask, get your marker up and running. Then look at getting a vest and remote line if you want. THEN look at clothes. Unless you are really set on a "look" clothes do not improve your game as much as a upgrade would.

Hope this helps! I have been playing for years and know you will have a blast.

First time I played paintball I was shot in the neck and I had nothing covering my neck that time ;_;

Damn, worst purple mark ever.

But still, make sure to carry some good equipment and if you feel hardcore, don't wear anything aside from a mask and a scarf. (You know what I mean, lol)

The paint comes off with water.

Get yourself a mask first. Before you get the marker. The grillz are good and will take a lot to fog them up.

I have a phenom at home that I used for a few years. Good gun to start with. I dont use it anymore though. If you have any questions on it feel free to ask.

Try air soft first, the only reason not to is *sshole cheaters, but this is only an issue at certain fields. Try a cheap gun from Walmart or rent a gun at local fields to see if any of them are good. If not, paintball is the next best thing.

Get a nice solid mask, mostly personal preference here. For cloths I recommend wearing someone on the heavier side that covers a lot of skin. Definitely would recommend getting something for the neck. If your area is hot, see if there are any indoor fields or take the pain with lighter cloths. When it comes to guns and paint, can't really help you, I went the airsoft route.

"Normandy" i7 4790K - GTX 970 - Phantom 410 (Gun metal) - Z97 Extreme4 (asrock) - 128GB Crucial SSD - 1TB WD HDD - H60 Refurb. - 7 case fans | G710+ Keyboard, G230 Headset, Acer GN246HL Monitor.

Quick thoughts on system: I7 is extremely quick and I'm glad I spent the extra for hyper-threading. I regret my decision to get the GTX 970, it has horrible coil whine. There isn't any excuse for this terrible whine I and others are having. I HIGHLY recommend a 144hz monitor. Future Improvements/upgrades: Rubber fan mounts, basic speakers, more ram (for a total of 16gb), replace GPU.

144hz is love. 144hz is life. I like to submit unfinished posts then do about 20 edits. I like the Night Theme too.

ya i agree on getting a good mask. If you go to a feild that has rentals you do not want to rent a mask but a marker is fine.

For some reason I'm still interested in the markers but not really any going paintballing. It always ends up costing a lot to go paintballing and at this point all my stuff is so old i would need to upgrade to compressed air get regulator and all that just to even go to any fields around here since I think they have moved away from co2 which is what all my guns run off of. I own a few spyders / clones and my brother owns a tippman a5 as well as some old ass brass eagle guns that he got for people to use that went paintballing with him form work they are just cheap spyder clones but built like a tank as I recall.

First time I played paintball, I did not know about the 5m rule / surrender rule. Had a guy sneak up to me and yell surrender, scared the shit out of me, so I lit him up. He then proceeded to shoot me, and we both emptied our mag on each other. I dont play anymore as I'm broke, and it's too much $.

where we used to play surrender was a rule for you to offer but not something you had to accept but you should not point black shoot people, a guy blind fired point blank into my chest and that cut me up decently and hurt like hell.
