I have the EVGA 780 ACX SC. I love it. It's not as bulky as the 780 DCU II (great card, not hating on it, but we know the DCU II versions are always a little boxy), and the overclocking is sublime. I got mine for 650 at microcenter (pricematched through amazon).

the funny thing about this is that a 780 is roughly 650-700 regardless of the version 99% of the time, so I mean... if you're going to spend that much on a card, going with the cheapest one is going to be a 10 dollar variance. You may as well wait until your favorite one goes on sale for like 10 bucks off instead.

In Australia there is about a 100 difference between some cards

  • 2 weeks later...

I would say if you can wait a month for the release of the 9970 and see if that fits your bill better , if not it may reduce the price of the 780 so that it competes with that card ( if they are similarly priced )

Because The Humungus is jacking all the fuel driving up prices?

Nope, cause we have great healthcare and throw money to where it shouldn't go, at criminals to make sure they have a grand old time in prison
