I have tried everything. windows update, the media tool, even downloading the iso and burning to both USB and DVD. Windows 10 just won't install for me.

when i try upgrading from windows update, or the media tool, i get error 0xc1900101.

If i try booting from the iso, it shows the windows logo, and then reboots. after a couple minutes. minutes.

I have the same issue on my media PC, as do many other people with the G3258 on non Z boards, you're going to have to temporarily disable one of the cores in the BIOS and re-enable it when Microsoft gets a fix for it or just wait and upgrade afterwards.

you can download a tool right from Microsoft to manually download the install files and run it yourself.

Already tried that. Several times.

YOU NEED TO WAIT, if you force you wil get problems, MS needs to make sure you pc will update without problems before pushing it out, MOST people bitching did force update.

Force updating for most people is fine, the G3258 has had issue with windows 10 for the past 3-5 builds, hasn't worked since build 10130

Ok, I'll try that. Any idea what causes the issue?

It's been an issue since the preview build after 10130, current speculation is a micro code update from intel.
