Cost a lot more and its not really better imo. you pay for the gadget included / desktop controller with 6’ / 1.8m cable .

 

Trust me the Z623 is plenty enough power. My bass is cranked at about 60% only and my water bottle shake on my desk.

No sub, but sound great and actually go pretty low. (Do have a sub out if you want to add a sub later.)

 

I have a sub in the same room, but I usually listen to these without it. Best desktop computer speaker I have ever had!

Budget and space depending, you could look at http://www.krksys.com/krk-studio-monitor-speakers/rokit/rokit-5.html for something on the performance end, probably just at the cusp of the point of diminished return, good value given they are pro-grade.

They are probably going to sound okay. The signature is going to resemble an upgraded sound bar with a bit more mid tones, but not much. These are an okay computer speaker set, but not "good speakers and a good sub woofer."

 

Just go for it. You'll like them.
