No, it would not damage anything. Computer hardware is not that fragile - my rig runs 24/7 and so does my server(which uses consumer grade hardware). No issues.

Overheating wouldn't be an issue?

Not sure why your computer would overheat at night if it doesn't when you're using it(which is putting a higher load on it).
