I have a LGA 1156 motherboard and because of my CPU temp is getting high,I planning to buy a Cooler master hyper 212 but the problem now is that I do not have a motherboard cut out on my case but I alrdy have another aftermarket heatsink which already have the backplate behind . So I am wondering can I reuse the backplate I am using now or must I take out the motherboard and put the one cooler master provides? And btw which CPU cooler you guys think is the best?

no you have to remove your motherboard to install 212

some of the brands use the same hardware to mount HSF 'sinks. so it might be

possible to re-use what you already have. what is the one you have on the build now?

You probably need to unmount the motherboard. (really lucky otherwise)

 

If you already have an aftermarket cooler and are running hot, maybe you need something bigger then a cm 212. 

The 212 is the best you can get for the money, but I think you need something bigger

 

Noctua NH-D14 is one of the best aircooler you can get, but it is big, heavy and expensive.
