My, opinion is that longer is better! (looks better)

oh for sure. but, ive done my measurements already and if the 9970 is too long...ill have to go 780...i dont want to pay that much for shadow play ill never use and auto-overclocking [the weakest form of overclocking next to XMP!]

The problem is many CUII cards look the same, this could well be another CUII card that's already been released and the picture has been tweaked a bit

Fake, it's a GTX 780 DCUII, the PCB circuitry is of the 780.

The copper traces, phases & what not.

PCB = Printed Circuit Board.

You can see that the picture is an exact copy of the DCUII 780 http://cdn.techiser.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/06/ASUS-GeForce-GTX-780-DirectCU-II-Detailed.jpg .

Look at the PCB layout below the heat-pipes & over the PCI-E interface, compare both pictures, they're exactly the same.
