My personal rig has got the downloads already within that hidden windows folder. Is it advisable to upgrade to Windows 10 pro tomorrow? The upgrade assistant claims I have no driver compatibility issue? When I upgraded my old windows 7 laptop to Windows 8 on the day of release, everything was all fine considering its an OEM machine but with a custom rig could it be a different story? Are any of the forum members going to jump ship immediately or will you wait a while for the bugs to iron out?

I'd suggest waiting a week or so for MS to iron out the big bugs, unless you really want to jump on Win10 ASAP.

Unless I'm doing anything important on my main PC I plan on upgrading as soon as it allows me just to play with it. I plan on backing up practically everything just in case anything goes wrong though.

Well guess I'll take the risk.

I'll probably do it tomorrow, but I'll check the forum before installing just to make sure people aren't having lots of problems with it.

I am planning the same thing, going to see if there are any hiccups with installation.

I kind of want to, heard there was a day one patch to stream line issues.

Yeah, 100% definitely need to back up, although, I don't actually keep anything important on the machine except games, everything else is either on my external or the cloud.

im only going to be installing it sunday as im moving tomorrow and internet only getting hooked up on sunday

Immediate jump for you, keep an eye out on what others will think tomorrow if you can.

I'm getting out of my buggy Win8 before i smash my Laptop. I don't care about the risks. I need out.

Windows 8 wasn't that bad, I just replaced the horrible start screen with a third party.
