Choosing a CPU

Hello, basically my current motherboard (MS-7778) only supports these CPU's below, comparing my current APU ( AMD A8-5500) to any of these, my question is do any of them have a significant performance improvement to my current or should I just invest in a motherboard that support the greater performance CPU'S or APU'S?

do not upgrade to any of those.

i wouldnt bother getting any of them, if you ever get a gpu you will have serious bottleneck on any of those, even an i3 would be a better choice with a cheap  motherboard, but thats only if youre going to get a gpu.

A Richland QC might bring some slight performance to the board, but not by much.

 

You're better off buying a new board that supports a beefier CPU. APUs are just crap. (You can get better price/performance ratio from Vishera FX CPUs <___< )

Get a athlon x4 750K or 760K, but I recommenced replacing that motherboard if you can it's too old.

APUs are what killed AMD. They said they'll start focusing on proper CPUs, so even THEY know the APUs are shit.

APUs are an interesting concept, but it needs to be properly funded for it to work. Which is something that AMD lacks atm.
