Hi. Im backing up my things for the windows 10. I was going to do it with that > http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/back-up-files#1TC=windows-7 but I wanted to know if there was an easier or better way of doing it. I don't have any money but I don't need much space to backup

I have no money. or a job

If you don't have any money or a way to get some don't upgrade to Windows 10. Its going to be part of a subscription known as "Windows". So even though its free now, in a bit there's going to be an annual fee for it. Just stay with what you've got for now and wait for Microsoft to realize what an idiotic move they've made, and remove the subscription. ;)

You can use it with some other software like AOMEI Backupper Standard. You don't have  to worry about the price because this is a free file backup software, and you can use it with many backup types. It can help you to do not only file backup, but also system backup, disk backup, partition backup, even file sync. Besides, it supports almost all the Windows PC operating system like Windows 10/8.1/8/7/Vista/XP.

He needs a device to backup to. Not just software to do so.

for one thats one guy speculating, he didnt confirm it, others i looked up is all speculation.

secondly, even if it did become a subscription service what would be wrong with that.  Lets say they priced it 100$-150$ a year yes thats a little pricey but they could include, windows, office,XBL,groove and even through in x amount of skype credits to use per month.

A subscription would suck for an OS. Especially in Elcld's case. I'd like to have a one time payment of $200 and then be done with it and not worried that my computer will shut down if I forget to pay yet another bill. You have to look at it from a consumer who isn't in a position to spend $100-$150/yr's point of view. Just my opinion and by the way, Microsoft themselves said it. I forget where but I would give the link if I knew where it was (promise I'm not faking this).

Update: Found it: http://www.forbes.com/sites/gordonkelly/2015/05/08/microsoft-windows-10-last-windows/?utm_campaign=yahootix&partner=yahootix (using Forbes link for same reason. Google it to find Microsoft's official writing). Windows 10 is the last in its series and from then on it'll just be a subscription plan called "Windows" as I said before.
