Installing a fan in the drive bay?

naseem142

hello

my case is a coolermaster K282 , i wanted to fit a side panel fan but my gpu is too big so i decided to put it in the front , and as you can see in the pictures that it fits only one fan on the front , and i wanted 2 so i had to zip tie another one in the drive bay ( i think that's what it's called ).

P50727-125722_zpsmfpugg6g.jpg P50727-125826_zps2lbnl0uc.jpg

Is there any way to install the fan in a more professional way? Also if not , i am thinking to buy a new case because it's really tight inside that case anyway with a huge gpu ( r9 380 ) and a big cpu cooler almost taking up the whole place.

help is very appreciated!  :)

There are some HDD cages with fan mounts, but I'd say your method is better. If it doesn't rattle to death.

What temps are you actually getting?

Temps for CPU are 34 ~ 36 Idle and 40 ~ 50 ish under load

for gpu 38 ~ 42 idle and 50 ~ 60 under load

There is an exhaust fan on from behind only one though , nothing on the sides so why would it be a problem?

Actually it's kind of quiet until it reaches higher rpms

They are good temps, if you want swap the noctua fan with the blue one which might get slightly better GPU temps but weird led effects or stick some double sided sticky tape/foam that they use for number plates on cars and put it underneath the fan or see if you can tighten the cable ties some more to remove the rattle.

No i did replaced the stock fan of that case , it was noisy as hell when it came , i think it was defective or something ? Current blue on is a Corsair AF120 ( blue led ).

The exhaust fan is actually pretty good , really quiet and high air flow.

Do you mean the zip tied fan? It's a noctua NF-F12 industrial PPC

I tried searching , i really didn't find anything. Some were out of stock on amazon , and other websites don't ship internationally.

What would you suggest to do ?

Like I said before, if its working already, you don't need anything better. Nobodys going to see it there.

Your temps are great then, air coolers are more vulnerable to bad airflow, and seeing your temps your config is working
