Hi everyone! I decided to get a quality pair of headphones. I want to get sennheiser 558. But should I get 598 instead? Is there a big difference? And should I get a soundcard or something? If so, then tell me some good ones. I will be gaming for most of the time and just a little music. I don't want to be spending more than $200 for the headset and soundcard combined. But I can squeeze in ten or twenty dollars if worth it.

I never tried the 598 but the 558 seemed great to me. If you get a 558 I don't think you would have enough money for a good soundcard (i would recommend the Fiio E10). Do you need a microphone too?

Just get a nice pair of headphones and use your onboard.

558s would be good, 598s aren't an order of magnitude better.  Unless you LIKE the color.

Yes get a soundcard, it is way better than onboard.

look up the 558 foam mod, it's supposed to make them sound similar to the 598's.

Will work for electronic components and parts
