I was sent a link over skype by a contact. It was a twitter link however when hovering over the link it showed me a goo.gl link

 

I was being dumb and clicked this link. The link took me to a the website 'Womens Health Magazine" in the fitness section. As far as I can see in my chrome option nothing was downloaded or anything like that.

 

Am I at risk here? I can provide more information if requested thanks! :/

Please remove the like from your post. Could be something bad. Just scan your system using Malwerbytes.

I checked if any programs had access to skype and that came up empty which is a good sign however I found this in my appdata - http://gyazo.com/8d6eb1d559615d2468b35d11d1261220

 

What should I do with that chinese writing thing.

I'd just do some scans with like adwcleaner + ccleaner to be sure.

Im going to reinstall skype and make a new account

righto, make sure to delete all of the folders associated with it to get a fully clean skype.

righto, make sure to delete all of the folders associated with it to get a fully clean skype. 

Somehow my skype account has premium so I think i will just delete everything that has to do with skype, reinstall, do a virus sweep, and then delete all my contacts and start fresh. Does it sound like a safe plan?
