Hi guys, when playing bf4 for almost 2 hours i get artifacts, which are quite annoying. But if i play the witcher 3 for over 2 hours, nothing happens, everything corrrect. The card is an r9 280x,temps go from 74 to 77 at 99 per cent usage.I have an Arctic accelero IV,should i put some heatsinks on the vrm?

BF4 is a beast at wrecking your stability, many times I've had 12hr stable furmark run on a gpu overclock and within 30mins BF4 will crash or artifact.

Put heatsinks on the vrm, and try underclocking if it doesn't help. It might also help to lower intense graphic settings like post processing and anti-aliasing.

That's BF4, don't worry about it.

BF4 breaks nVidia cards too.

BF4 is just a terribly coded piece of shit software that happens to be popular. It's never going to be fixed. They've resorted to lengthy time between patches again, and if something doesn't get fixed it's months before it even has a chance to be fixed. If the artifacts and crashes deter you, just stop playing it. I guarantee you that it's not your GPU's or driver's fault.

I have finally moved to a desktop. Also my guides are outdated as hell.

Guys, thank you so much,i was going mad thinking that my gpu would be faulty

No need to worry abut it, every piece of software - be it game, benchmark or torture test has it's fair share of bugs and glitches.

BF is a prime example. If nothing seems wrong in other games and your temps are perfectly fine then it's unlikely that your GPU is the issue. Trust me, I've done the panicking too with Unigine Heaven since it seemed a bit "wavy" for me and I noticed an object pop-up and disappear within a second (this might be my paranoia) once and when I went back looking for it it wasn't there whereas Unigine (i know, same engine but different scenes) valley runs perfectly fine without issues so I'd say it's the game behaving badly.
