MP4 Corrupted

I wasn't quite sure where to post this, hopefully this spot will be good.

 

Today I recorded a video with my smartphone, a Galaxy S3. However something happened to the video file and I can not play it. It is a 700mb file, but reads 00:00 minutes of video?

 

Is there any way to recover it? It is not essential, just would be convenient.

Put the video on your computer, then render it using handbrake (free video renderer), I used this to fix my corrupt .avi file but it should work using mp4.

You can also check whether the video works by using vlc media player.

Nothing will play it,  vlc, my phone, etc. I will try handbrake.

Did you get it to work? If the progress bar is stuck that is normal, because when I rendered my corrupt file it was stuck and I just left it for 10 minutes and it worked.

Handbrake would not even take it as an input file. So I guess it's lost. Oh well. Not a big deal. Thanks for the suggestions.
