Just a quick question, what kind of thermal pads should I be looking to get, and where is a good place I can buy them?

Find how thick your current ones are and find them on ebay, they're all the same

Please, do not provide any more advices. No, they are NOT all the same, there is a thing called thermal conductivity.

 

You can buy thermal pads anywhere, from eBay to Amazon, local tech shop... just be sure to get the right thickness and the same or better thermal conductivity than old ones. Search the net for "thermal pad Xmm". I got mine from eBay.

I tested eight different brands and found maximum of 5 degree differences for the thicker ones and 2 degree differences for the thinner ones. So no, thermal conductivity does not differ much from pad to pad
