there is no signal

I just completed building my first pc but when I plugged it into a monitor it only says that there is no signal detected

all lights in the pc work as far is I know.

if anyone has an idea why this is please tell me what might be the problem

i can plug both in the monitor,

the gpu is giving off light so im assuming it works

and i have the monitor plugged into my laptop right now and it works just as it should

and I have no idea about the input

Alright, try connecting the monitor to your motherboard instead of your GPU.
