1. Budget & Location

Okay so i have a decent budget of 1500 USD but i would be willing to go higher for better performance.

2. Aim

This system is mainly going to be used for gaming on games like Battlefield, CSGO, Tomb Raider and Minecraft.

3. Monitors

Im going to be using one monitor and i plan on keeping it that way.

4. Peripherals

I have all of my peripherals and the OS that i will be using will be Windows 8.1 or 10 when it comes out.

5. Why are you upgrading?

Well i want to play more games but the games i play are too heavy and my computer/Laptop cant handle them so i think its time for an upgrade.

6. Things I want included.

I want to have a Razer themed build so Green and Black is the color scheme i want and i want to be using the H440 Razer Edition. Also i would like it Air cooled. Also i would like this Intel based.

This is the build I would recommend. It has a 4690k and 980ti, as they are both great parts, and give good performance. I put in the CM nepton 240m because it performs well, and is also very quiet. The motherboard and PSU are there because they are very reliable, and the motherboard colors don't clash with the green. The memory and storage are there becuase they all perform fine, and are good values.

Its good but the water cooler is not needed unless you plan to OC!

I would say Fury X may be better cause of BF & Tomb Raider but I am not sure how AMD cards do in Minecraft...

I'm really sorry guys I was informed by my father that since its my first build he doesn't want any water cooling. Also I would like a Core i7 because I would like hyper threading. I am very sorry for those that have planed out a build. Also a fully modular power supply and I have 1 question. Is 1 very good graphic card better than 2 decent ones?

Hyperthreading is useless in games as of now, fully modular psu are more expensive, and this makes new builders prone to pulling something important. There is no diffrence between a fully mod and a non mod psu, except you can remove all the wires from the fully one. For the gpus, it depends.

Since this is your first build, I shyed away from overclocking, but gave you the option to do so by giving a Z97 board that supports overclocking. The 390x will be more than powerful enough to run all those games, and you can always add another as an upgrade to effectively give you a 295x2. Put in a standered 1tb drive, and since budget allowed for it, a 250 gig 850. Psu is an 80+ gold from seasonic, and semi modular, which only lets you pull out the extra powercables, makeing there a less chance for something to screw up.

Two of the best air coolers are the Be Quiet! dark rock pro 3 and the phanteks ph-tc14pe.
