When should i install drivers?

Go to solution Solved by JefferyD90,

Well, if you're doing a clean install follow the guide in my signature.  Otherwise, if you're doing a Windows Update install of 8.1 let Windows do all the updates it needs to do (once its finished) install all of your drivers.

Alright so I have an installation disk for windows 8 that allows me to upgrade to 8.1 for free through the store but I don't know when to install my mb and GPU drivers . Should I install the drivers on 8 and then do my required windows updates and install 8.1 or should I update, install 8.1 then install the drivers?

My opinion is that you install 8.1 first and then drivers.

Not sure if i understand :P You are wondering if you need to wait untill you have installed Windows 8.1 before installing the drivers for your graphics card?

Please spend as much time writing your question, as you want me to spend responding to it.  Take some time, and explain your issue, please!

When installing Windows 8, you should have internet via LAN so it can download the needed drivers by itself. You can look for other drivers you need later.
