Hi! I'm really new in building computers and your help will be appreciated.

This will be my first time building a computer so I lack the knowledge that you guys have.

1.) BUDGET AND LOCATION

I'm from the Philippines and my budget is PHP 150, 000 which is equivalent to 3300 USD.

2.) AIM

I want this build to be a sweetspot between a workstation and gaming pc. I'm a graphic design and game development student that needs a system that can handle graphics designing, video editing, 3D modeling, animation and rendering, game development and of course, some gaming. Games like GTA V, NBA 2K etc.

3.) MONITORS

To be honest, I still don't have a choice on which monitor to buy. I'm torn between single 4k monitor (ASUS PB287Q 28" 4K) and a triple 1080p monitor (ASUS VX279H 27" WLED). I'm also wondering if a single Titan X could handle a triple 1080p setup with a Wacom Cintiq 13 HD (1920x1080).

4.) PERIPHERALS

Peripherals of my choice are:

          Keyboard:     Steelseries Apex Illuminated Keyboard

          Mouse:          Steelseries Sensei Wireless

          OS:                Windows 7 or 8

5.) WHY ARE YOU UPGRADING?

I building/upgrading because the laptop that I'm using as of now is just a low-end one and it's too old. It can't keep up with my works and with the games today, it barely meet the minimum system requirements. Most of the time, it doesn't.

Thank you in advance, LTT community!

Whoa, thanks! Is it overkill to go for 5960x?

I would say it's not worth the $700 price difference.

You get 2 more cores, but they are at a lower clock. Gaming isn't going to see a performance boost from that. You might even see a loss.

And the extra 2 cores aren't going to all of a sudden make your stream 10x better.
