Hey guys! Windows 8.1 won't download on a USB stick on my Windows Vista, so I thought of a ghetto solution. I'm planning on buying an NZXT H440, that case doesn't have a 5 inch bay for optical drives. And I was just wondering if this would work:

Get my old optical drive. Put a power and data connector to it. Keep the window of the case open. And put the windows disk on the optical drive. And start downloading windows on my PC. Would that work?

I want a gaming PC that can run all game 1080p 60FPS!! But unfortunately, I don't have money and I'm too young to have a job XD
