Primochill Sys Prep?

Go to solution Solved by W-L,

As long as your loop doesn't have dissimilar metals like aluminum or steel with copper or nickel blocks you shouldn't have a problem. As for Sys prep as long as you flushed the rads and rinsed the blocks it shouldn't give you any problem.

Personally I'd probably use sys prep during the scheduled maintence time where the fluid needs to be changed.

You should be fine running a week or two before adding the PTnuke just don't forget to add it.

I bought some Primochill advanced LRT as per the forum's suggestions.

It came with a bottle of cleaner to use to flush the loop. My rads and CPU block are used and coated in too from the old dyes from the previous owner and I flushed them with just about everything to clean them...

I have been running the loop without any additives (just distilled water) for a couple weeks until my PTNuke arrives. When it does, I will be removing and cleaning everything when I install the new tubing which is light blue from the old dye goo.

1. Is the GPU waterblock worth disassembling and cleaning? Its new.

2. Is this Sys Prep stuff recommended to use to flush the loop after I rinse the rads and blocks with vinegar?

3. Should I run two 12 hour flushings with it and then use distilled water, some antifreeze, and PTNuke.

4.Are my planned additives going to cause any issues? I have black tubing and don't care what color the fluid is as long as the metals in the loop don't corrode.

When I reuse some water cooling parts I run near boiling water though them. It kills everything and flushes the parts.

None of this other stuff is necessary IMO.

Thanks guys, I will do this.
