Not 100% sure what you mean, maybe if you worded it better it would make more sense

NoIP has an application you can download onto the device that will update the domain name to redirect to the IP

so if the IP of your PC or Pi changes, the NoIP app will update the domain name to go to the new IP

the IP should only change every time your router restarts...

 

why do you need an email anyway? with a domain name you dont need to know the IP

Some ISP are forcing a disconnect after 24h

yeah well with noip the application automatically updates the domain name redirect...

 

so if your domain is xyz.noip.whatever and your IP changes it doesnt matter

the application updates the DNS

so xyz.noip.whatever still goes to the same PC even though the IP changed

 

thats the entire point of noip...
