High/ultra in well-optimized games. L.A. Noire is locked at 30 FPS.

Google GPU reviews, they do GAME testing, you can see expected performance.

Search text ie: "amd 270x review" or "HD7950 review" and see relative performance.

 

The HD7950/HD7970 reviews (slightly faster, not by much now, but showcases MORE/older (BF3 n such) games performance)

Looking up 270x / 280 / 280x reviews should also have a 270x in the listing... usually they are in there.

You can't simply just ask for FPS as different set-up will have different FPS

Consider the temperatures, the core clock after OC and the other parts like the motherboard

You should also consider researching for benchmarks that are as close to your preferred set-up
