Motherboard Compatibility

Hi everyone, I was wondering if an Intel D955 motherboard, more specifically the Intel D955XBK would support the Intel Core 2 Duo chips. I read online that it doesn't support it, but will it work after a BIOS update? Is there anyway to make it work? I'm planning to put an E8400 in it. Thanks

According to Intel's own website, it is not compatible.

Yeah but some other people say that a BIOS update can get it to work so i don't know...
