Question recading ASIC quality.

Go to solution Solved by Raudi_,

Only thing you need to know about asic is the higher the ASIC reading is the lower the overall powerdraw of the card will be on air, as it will have less voltage leak. Otherwise its 100% redundant for anything else.

Okay, so I literally heard about this 5 mins ago so I decided to check mine.

RoG GPU-Z reports 77% which I am not entirely sure what it means. I heard something regarding lower voltage but Aida64 was telling me GPU core is at 1.25 yet GPU-Z told me VDDC is 1.1V so which is correct? (turned on Aida64 to max out the gpu for a few seconds). Does it even matter? Is it a legendary turnip pokemon?

Ignore it completely, i had a GTX 480 with an ASIC score of 73% which is not great, but you could OC it balls to the wall at 950mhz on air...

So ignore it completely because your case might be an outlier?

As far I I know it means you can overclock on lower voltage if ASIC is higher.

GPU-Z tends to be more accurate than aida 64

Well, I was thinking about pushing an extra 20 MHz just to round it @ 1 GHz for me own satisfaction so does this imply that I could do it @ stock voltage and does the VDDC resemble the voltage going through the card?

Also, does it mean that since voltage supposedly is lower it also affects temperatures or am I going out on a limb here?

No data should be ignored, all data has it's applications.

Someone told Luke and Linus at CES 2017 to "Unban the legend known as Jerakl" and that's about all I've got going for me. (It didn't work)

Lower voltage = lower temps

Yeah but is the VDDC the core voltage or am I completely off track (not too familiar with everything yet, sorry for the dumb questions)

Okay, thanks to you and everyone else for the replies. It actually makes some sense to me now :D
