Screen problem

Go to solution Solved by wangyuji431,

I have put a picture could you please look at it and tell me what you think?

This could be a monitor problem, which happens when the cables (VGA)? Start to loosen or break. If you have a VGA cable, or anything with physical connections, look at your pins on it, and see if anything is bent. If it is an hdmi cable, see if the screen changes when you bend specific portions of the cable, although this rarely occurs. Moreover, you can look inside your graphics card connector, and see if anything is left in the socket, such as broken pins.

This looks to me like your monitor is having trouble refreshing the display, or is overheating. Try to see if the monitor has lots of dust in it, or simply hook up another monitor, in order to diagnose the problem. To check if this is the case, set your refresh rate down to 20 or 30 hz and see if that affects the timing of the monitor splitting.

My screen splits in two while playing. I fix it with a restart but it is annoying. Can someone help me? I should note that my monitor is 7-8 years old.

What type of split? If it has a windows taskbar on each side, it is due to either virtual displays getting messed up in your display drivers, a faulty display, or even a faulty graphics card (extremely unlikely).

Also, it could just be your old, failing monitor. Try using the monitor's auto readjust button, or reinstall the monitor drivers. Also, this may be your VRMs overheating in your graphics card, or your memory overheating. Put the graphics card memory clocks down to default, etc.

Next, go into your bios, and wave your cursor around and change the tabs on it for ten minutes. If the monitor is faulty, then the screen will split while inside the bios. If not, boot into safe mode, and see if that resolves your issue.
