Witcher 3, Post 1.07 Patch issues!

Go to solution Solved by werto165,

"Then all my game/keyboard/graphics settings were for some reason switched back to default, so I changed them back manually. " does it after every update, it mentioned it when I started up the game after the patch. Do you have a controller on hand, perhaps plug it in and take it out again, I have mine plugged in all the time and I have the keyboard prompts with the patch, so I have no idea.... Have you tried the alternative movement style yet? It's amazing, also the hair works effects are much more customizable which is nice.

So there is only one issue I have that actually needs fixing now because I managed to fix the others myself, but I thought I'd list them all anyway:

So first of all GoG wouldn't even update the game at first, but a quick reboot seemed to fix that. Then I couldn't actually open the game because it gave me an error but that was cool all I had to do was rename dsound.dll in the bin/x64 folder and everything worked. Then all my game/keyboard/graphics settings were for some reason switched back to default, so I changed them back manually.

And that was all good and well I carried on as normal.

But just randomly out of no where bit by bit it decided to change all the on screen key 'hints' to the xbox default, I have no controller plugged in, I didn't change any settings, it just happened randomly out of no where, and I can't seem to find a way to change it back...

Has this happened to anyone else, or do they know a way to fix it? Any info/help would be great!

(Not that I need the keys to be listed on the screen after 100 hours of gameplay aha, but it just looks so wrong with the xbox ones there...)

Thanks :)

Perhaps you could try plugging in a controller to prompt it to switch, then move back to using a KB + mouse? I don't seem to be having the same issue.

Here is a thread on reddit for the bugs that have popped up after the 1.07 patch. CDPR is most likely monitoring these new issues and they'll probably be resolved in the next patch.

Oh seriously? Aha I must have just skipped through it telling me that, my bad.

But unfortunately not right now (I haven't used a controller yet on this PC so don't keep 1 close by), I'll have to try and get my brothers ps4 controller tomorrow, but he's asleep right now. But thanks I'll give it a go in the morning hopefully it helps, if not I can always live with it till it gets patched lol

Yeah I didn't have the issue all day, just randomly happened a little bit ago, but I'll try the controller/kb switch tomorrow, thanks for the link I'll take a look through and see if anything helps ^^

Managed to get a hold of a ps4 control and it seemed to fix it, no clue why it happened but at least it's fixed now aha, thank you both!
