Hard Drive Storage Configuration

Go to solution Solved by Godlygamer23,

how would I do that

Out-of-the-box, you need to open an application called Disk Management. After it launches, you should see an "Unallocated" section next to your hard drive. Right click on that and click New Simple Volume. Then just follow the on-screen prompts.

my plan is to have an SSD as the boot drive and a hard drive as the storage drive, could I just plug in the SSD and install windows on that then once it's done installing could I just plug in my hard drive and windows would recognize it as the hard drive? Or do I have go through a special process? Thanks - Y

You would need to format the hard drive after plugging it in - it's a pretty simple process.
