This may be a stupid question to some, but I need to find out before I do it. For gigabyte bios, is the bios they have for download from their site always the same as the bios they load onto their board before shipping? Say f14 bios download from site and f14 bios already on the board? I ask because When I flash to either f15o bios or f15q bios, and something isn't right, I want to be able to flash back the original bios that was loaded on the board. Not the bios with the same name but was slightly modified by gigabyte. Hopefully this makes sense to you guys. Thanks for any help!!!!

Original BIOS the board shipped with should be on a disc in the box.

Ok then also what about this. When I download f15o or f15q bios from gigabyte. There is always other files with it like efiflash and other stuff. What are those additional files for?

Really? I don't think CD contains BIOS files at all.

BIOS that is already on board isn't same that latest on website. It might be newer than the first released version or it might be the first released version. Depends on how long board has been sitting in store warehouse. Best way to check what it is, is to boot into BIOS and see what it says. Also, flashback can (afaik) flash to any previous version. Or you can use dual BIOS feature if board supports such.

The additional files are for software install. Just ignore them. Also, don't, just don't, flash to beta BIOS since you are this unsure about whole thing.

Don't they with GPUs? Idk, maybe some do. Feel free to correct me if in wrong though.

Always though they did...

I really don't think they provide firmware with GPUs. We are talking about stuff that commoners might install and have huge problem because they think its safe like drivers.

So you're saying that the bios on the board shipped may not be the same as the bios from their website even though they have the same version name?

I'm saying that website has latest available BIOS. The board might have latest or few versions older. Depending on when latest version came and how long board has been sitting in warehouse.

Also, they never flash consumer stuff with beta versions.
