Hi guys I am looking to upgrade my router.

My cheap $20 TP-link router is not doing the job when there are more than 8 devices connected.

It works fine as wired. and works fine when minimal devices are connected.

Once over 8 devices are connected it starts randomly disconnecting. I might update the firmware on the router for now and hope it fixes the problem.

I am waiting for some AC routers to go on sale. Anyone know a good router that would work well right out of the box?

My budget is around $200 for a decent AC router and can handle over 8 devices connected from wifi, and 3 connected through wire.

I've got a RT-AC68U in my home and it gives really good coverage.

We have around 6-10 devices connected at all times and I can pull the full 154 Mb/s (My max download speed) on speedtest from around 50 feet away and through a floor and a few walls.

that is good. maybe this can be the router for me too. I will compare this with other routers that people posts.

I also suggest the AC68U. I have one, and it give me my full 125Mbps of internet bandwidth across the whole house (2 floors, even outside some).

You can't go wrong with either.
